Brixham AFC enjoyed a narrow 4-3 home win over Elburton Villa to lift themselves two places to fourth in the South West Peninsula League.
The game followed a respectfully observed one minute’s silence for the men who died after the sinking of the Joanna C.
Villa surged into a two goal lead but the visitors pulled one back before the break to set up an exciting second half. Elburton found an equaliser before Brixham scored twice to give themselves some daylight again. Despite another strike by Villa, the Fishermen held on for the points.
